Sen. Amy Klobuchar is teaming up with high school students and distraction-free driving advocates to talk about the dangers of distracted driving.

She visited the University of Minnesota and tested a distracted driving simulator.

Last month, nearly 1,000 people in Minnesota got tickets for distracted driving and 75 people died on Minnesota roads in part because of distracted driving.

Klobuchar offered increased funding for states to enact and enforce distracted driving laws.
