(Washington, DC) -- Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar is co-sponsoring a bi-partisan resolution reaffirming congressional support for intelligence agencies and denouncing foreign election attacks.

Klobuchar and South Carolina Republican Lindsey Graham introduced the resolution Thursday. It calls on Congress to respond to cyber attacks against U.S. election infrastructure and provides resources to improve election security. The resolution also urges the president to take necessary steps to ensure Russian nationals indicted for 2016 election interference be extradited to the U.S. Klobuchar said," Election security is national security. With only 103 days until the next election, it is more important than ever that the United States acknowledges Russia's cyber attacks on our democracy and takes all possible steps to secure our future elections."
