A bill co-sponsored by Senator Amy Klobuchar aimed at helping veterans re-entering the workforce is headed to the full U.S. Senate.

The Supporting Veterans in STEM Careers Act would direct the National Science Foundation to encourage veterans to study and pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. It also calls for a working group to develop a strategic plan to address barriers veterans face when re-entering the workforce and pursuing STEM careers. The Minnesota Democrat said, "Veterans are the teachers, engineers, scientists, and inventors who will lead us to a brighter future."
