MINNESOTA - U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) issued the statement below on the death of former Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Commissioner Mark Phillips:

“I am so sad we lost former IRRR Commissioner Mark Phillips, who died at home with his family on Lake Vermillion in Tower. I worked with Mark on federal funding for broadband and recreational trails, including ATVs, and he always saw economic development on the Range in a big way. He was so proud of his Range roots and Eveleth High School.”
