Senator Amy Klobuchar is sponsoring a bi-partisan bill that would include children of National Guard and Reserve members in a provision now available to families of full-time military members.

The Every Student Succeeds Act gives accommodations to children of full-time military parents.

Klobuchar wants that extended to children of guard and reserve members as well.

"The bottom line is we need to do everything we can to ensure that our service members get the help they deserve when they serve," Klobuchar said. "And that includes supporting their families when they're home. And that is really what this bill is all about."
