BYRON, Minn. (KTTC) – U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota has nominated Tamara and Jeramy Lawson of Byron for Minnesota’s Angels in Adoption honorees.

Angels in Adoption Leadership Program recognizes individuals and organizations for their contribution to adoption, permanency and child welfare.

According to a post on her ‘X’, the Senator says the couple’s journey in adopting their son Jiang Li “shows the power of a loving family and the belief that every child deserves a safe, nurturing home.”

Honorees traveled to Washington, D.C. last week for the September 10 ceremony, where they were recognized for their work and dedication, and their fight for change on behalf of children in need.
