Sen. Amy Klobuchar recently met with members of the Stearns County Domestic Violence Partnership to discuss progress with the Domestic Violence Court.

The county’s Repeat Felony Domestic Violence Court is the first of its kind in the nation, according to the Stearns County Attorney Office. It’s been operating for three years and focuses on offenders that were each committing 3-4 felonies each.

While in town, Klobuchar met with St. Cloud Area Legal Services Deputy Director Ann Cofell, Stearns County Human Services Administrator Mark Sizer, Stearns County Prosecutor Janelle Kendall, St. Cloud Lieutenant James Mortenson, Judge Kris Davick-Halfen, Managing Attorney Len Weiler, and Child/Youth Services Coordinator Patty Hackett.
