U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar proposed a $10 billion bill in order to provide financial aid to small music venues.

Nationwide, 90% of small live music and entertainment venues have said they might not be able to reopen.

The bill would set aside funds for small venues across the nation.

Some of the local venues that might benefit from this bill could be The Fargo Theater or the Bluestem Center for the Arts in Moorhead, Minnesota.

Senator Klobuchar is teaming up with republican senator John Cornyn for a bipartisan effort.

Klobuchar emphasized music venues are in a unique situation.

"They were some of the first to close and they will probably be the last to open, but we don't want them to go away," she said.

This bill would create grants to qualifying venues and deliver 6 months of financial support.
