Lake Park, MN (WDAY TV) -- A Minnesota lawmaker is seeing firsthand what good will come from the new Lake Park Audubon High School.
Senator Amy Klobuchar supported federal grants to build this school. She met with the student council and superintendent before taking a quick look at the construction site. Klobuchar then listened to students share their stories about what the school will do for them.
Klobuchar says, “You can just see the excitement with the parents, with the students, and what this means is we look into moving into this next century’s economy. We have to educate our kids with all the tools that they can get, and a lot of it is going to be science, technology, engineering, and math.”
The old school was built in 1890.The new one will open in August.
