Twin Cities/Metro - U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar

Originally established as a fur trading center and later a grain milling powerhouse, Minneapolis, St. Paul, and their many surrounding suburban areas today are home to most of the state’s seventeen Fortune 500 companies. The Twin Cities are also home to many colleges, including the University of Minnesota.

The Twin Cities has also earned a reputation of being a great place to live. According to a variety of national news outlets, the area has been voted among the healthiest cities, the most bike-friendly, and a great place for millennials to thrive.

Senator Klobuchar grew up in suburban Hennepin County. As Hennepin County Attorney, she represented one-fourth of the state of Minnesota, including Minneapolis and forty-four suburbs.
