WASHINGTON- U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, released the below statement regarding the Supreme Court nomination vote.

“For any nominee—whether it’s for district court or a judge at any level—if a report like Dr. Ford’s comes to light I expect it to be seriously investigated by the FBI before we vote. We thank her for coming forward and we need witness interviews and an investigative report back from the FBI.

“For weeks we’ve witnessed a full-fledged effort to ram this nomination through without thousands of critical documents. I’m glad GOP Senator Flake has now joined us in calling for more information before the committee vote. It should be delayed. This is our nation’s highest court.”
