WASHINGTON- U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) made the following statement after a deal in principle on the Farm Bill was announced by House and Senate Agriculture Committee Chairmen and Ranking Members:
“Today’s announcement on the Farm Bill is a big step forward for farmers and rural families. I worked to make sure that a strong safety net is in this legislation to help Minnesota farmers and ranchers after weather disasters, and during periods of low prices and trade disruptions. Now we must come together next week and pass this important agreement so that we can provide the stability and certainty our farmers need.”
Today House and Senate Agriculture Committee Chairmen and Ranking Members announced that they’d reached an agreement in principle on the 2018 Farm Bill.
