WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), Ranking Member of the Senate Rules Committee with jurisdiction over federal elections, released the following statement regarding the Office of the Director of National Intelligence cancelling all election security briefings to Congress

“The very same month that the Director of National Intelligence issued a warning that foreign adversaries are currently working to interfere in our elections, he cancelled all election security briefings for Congress. That is another outrageous and unacceptable dereliction of duty from this Administration. Congressional leaders and the American people need to know about foreign efforts to undermine our democracy. Federal law requires the intelligence community to keep Congress informed, and there must be an immediate reversal of this decision.”
