“Internet connected home technologies are becoming fixtures in our lives, and soon we may rely on them as much as we do our cell phones. A market dynamic is emerging where only a handful of powerful tech companies dominate, which is especially concerning  given the sensitive data they are collecting about us in our homes. This hearing will examine how we can protect innovation and competition in  home technology markets and what we can do to protect consumers as these technologies become more integrated into our daily routines,” said Senator Klobuchar.
