WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) issued the following statement on the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s guidance for state and local government funding included in the American Rescue Plan:

“As we round the corner of the pandemic, we must ensure we not only recover, but position our economy to come back better than ever. The billions in federal funding allocated to our state and local governments in Minnesota will help get municipal and state employees back to work, keep services such as public transportation that Minnesotans rely on up and running, and support small businesses as they reopen. As we continue to recover, I’ll remain focused on strengthening our economy and helping Minnesotans.”
