WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar today called for Democrats and Republicans to come together to take on tough issues during a bipartisan rally of members of the “No Labels” coalition. The “No Labels” coalition is a bipartisan, bicameral effort with 81 Senate and House members to find commonsense solutions to the country’s challenges. Klobuchar was one of five senators, including Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV), Angus King (I-ME), Dean Heller (R-NV), and Bill Nelson (D-FL), to attend the “No Labels” rally today to highlight the need for both parties to work together to get things done.
“I have always believed that true courage does not mean standing alone on the floor of the Senate or the House giving a speech by yourself. Courage means standing next to someone you don’t always agree with for the betterment of our country,”Klobuchar said. “That’s what this effort is about and that’s why I was proud to stand with my colleagues today and highlight the need for bipartisan action.”
