WASHINGTON- U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar spoke to veterans of the Korean and Vietnam Wars who were visiting Washington from Carver County, Minnesota. During their trip, organized by the Waconia Lions Club, the veterans will visit Arlington National Cemetery as well as several war memorials.
“When our veterans signed up to serve and defend our country, there wasn’t a waiting line. And when they return home, there shouldn’t be a waiting line either – not for an education, or a job, or the health care benefits they’ve earned,” Klobuchar said. “So to all our veterans who are here today: you deserve all of this. But most of all, you deserve our gratitude.”
