WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) released the following statement on prosecutors, agents, and staff from the Minnesota U.S. Attorney’s Office receiving the U.S. Attorney General’s David Margolis Award for Exceptional Service from Attorney General Merrick Garland. This is the Department of Justice’s highest award for employee performance and recognizes their efforts to enforce the nation's laws. Senator Klobuchar met with U.S. Attorney for Minnesota Andy Luger and the award recipients and their families in her office in Washington, D.C. to congratulate them. 

"I congratulate the dedicated public servants in the Minnesota U.S. Attorney General's Office on this national recognition of their work dismantling a sex trafficking ring and upholding civil rights,” said Klobuchar. "As a former prosecutor, I take immense pride in the work accomplished by these devoted civil servants and am thankful for everything they do to keep Minnesotans safe.”
