WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) signed on as an original cosponsor of a bipartisan Senate resolution condemning the recent rise in antisemitic violence and harassment in the United States and around the world.

“As we see a rise of antisemitic attacks, we are again reminded that hate inflicts trauma not just on individual victims but on entire communities,” said Senator Klobuchar. “We must condemn this rhetoric and violence, which has no home in the United States. And I will continue pushing for policies to ensure people can safely and proudly practice their religion without fear of discrimination.”

The resolution:

  1. Recommits the Senate to combating antisemitism in all forms;
  2. Stands in solidarity with those affected by antisemitism;
  3. Urges the President to take specific actions to address antisemitism; and
  4. Calls on elected officials, faith leaders, and civil society leaders to denounce and combat all manifestations of antisemitism.
